October 2008
This is a showcase of the H.264 "mp4" streaming feature of Red5 (a pre-v 0.7 version to be exact, it's outdated currently).
It features several demos -for review of the technology only-.
All demos are being streamed from this server.
You can test this by a) checking for data on port 1935 (the port Red5 runs on, on this server [used to be 11935] ) and in the log (firebug or httpwatch/iewatch) of your browser ;
the SWF isn't preloading an FLV or something.
- Some demos play back too fast (Lost, some Heima variants) ; their encoding isn't compatible yet with Red5 (or vice versa ; Red5 cannot read the framerate correctly).
It won't take long to fix that ; all audio, video and streaming components are working as you can see.
- The normal FLV's have been added for comparison only.
- Seeking doesn't work yet with H.264 content.
- As of Flash Player 10.0.32.18 there is a problem with playback. Older versions have no problems, nor has version 9
Enjoy,
